Job Description:

At Holiday Market Select, we believe our neighborhood deserves delicious, high-quality, convenient meals prepared from scratch. We are looking for friendly, hard-working individuals to work our café island. As a café team member, you will interact directly with guests to create various Holiday Market recipes to their liking. Café includes sandwiches, salads, coffee, ice cream, baked goods, and other Holiday Market prepared foods.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Greet guest and takes order with a cheerful demeanor.
• Prepare sandwiches/salads, coffee, and ice cream in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of menu items and accurately communicates menu items to guest.
• Keep workstation clean and stocked throughout shift.
• Efficiently use Point of Sale system/cash register to enter orders, collect payments, and makes change.
• Understand and adhere to all quality standards and procedures.
• Understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety, and sanitization standards while preparing food, serving food, and clean up.
• Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in the kitchen or coffee preferred.
• Able to quickly and neatly assemble salads/sandwiches, coffee, and ice cream according to Holiday Market standards.
• Manual dexterity to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils.
• Listens and follows instructions carefully.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• Punctuality and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• The physical stamina to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be 18 .
• Pay starts at $14 per hour.
